Erie County Department of Senior Services will hold "Powerful Tools for Caregivers" classes -- six weekly 2 1/2 -hour sessions that teach stress reduction, self-confidence, how to communicate feelings, making difficult decisions and locating helpful resources from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Nov. 12 at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital, Auditorium A, 621 10th St., Niagara Falls. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will present a free educational program, "Meet the Doctor," at 6 p.m. Thursday in Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm at Carlton streets. Dr. Asher Chanan-Khanat and Kena Miller, both of Roswell, will be the guest speakers. Open to patients, family members and friends dealing with multiple myeloma.
