More than 100 full- and part-time positions in banking, health care, insurance, manufacturing, collections, warehousing and tax preparation will be offered when the state Department of Labor co-sponsors the West Side Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Father Belle Community Center, 104 Maryland St.
Companies attending will include Graphic Controls, Geico Insurance, Time Warner Cable, Catholic Health System, Kaleida Health, Multisorb Technologies, H&R Block and M&T Bank.
Job seekers should bring several copies of their resumes.

>Farm Bureau economist to speak at annual meeting
Bob Young, chief economist from the American Farm Bureau in Washington, D.C., will be the guest speaker at the Erie County Farm Bureau's 53rd annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23 in Michael's Banquet Facility, 4885 Southwestern Blvd., Hamburg.
Young will speak about the current Farm Bill and its impact on the Northeast, economic issues affecting farmers and the trends in agriculture for the next 10 to 15 years.
