Niagara Honor Roll / Achievers and achievements

Matthew Sweeney of Appleton and Lydia Shafer of Middleport will serve in the coming year as Niagara County Fair Royalty. Also serving in the Royalty Court for the coming year will be Afton Brousse of Lockport. For the next year, the representatives will be available to speak to community groups, schools and elsewhere about 4-H. They can be contacted for community speaking through the Niagara County Cooperative Extension office at 433-8839.

*During the past few summers, many students have volunteered at North Tonawanda Meals on Wheels. "We appreciate the help of these young men and women," said Joy Welch, coordinator of the service.

The students who volunteered at North Tonawanda Meals on Wheels during the past couple of summers include: Joshua Anthony, Colin Archibald, Zachary Archibald, Joshua Bonvissuto, Katelyn and Michael Bevilacqua, Corey Dawson, Laura Garrett, Brian Kugler, Troy Lureman, Andrew and Lauren Metzger, Jeffrey Monaco, Chris and Grant Peehler, Melanie Priebe, Jamie and Taylor Richards, Nicholas Russo, Brandon Schultz, Ben Stonish, and Billy and Kate Welch.
