PUMPKIN FUN: The World Pumpkin Confederation Weigh-Off will take place Saturday on Main Street in Clarence during the Great Pumpkin Farm Fall Festival. Gates will open at 10 a.m., with prizes awarded at noon for the three largest pumpkins; the family festival will run from 10 a.m. to dusk, Oct. 11-12, featuring a pumpkin farm, pumpkin bowling, hockey shoot, skeleton hunts and more. The "97 Rock Pumpkin Drop," will take place on Oct. 13, with 97 contestants scrambling for prizes in the gooey mess left from a smashed pumpkin; and the Star 102.5 Boo Bash will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 25, with a $2 admission. HEART WALK: The Buffalo Niagara Start! Health Walk will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the HSBC Arena. Proceeds from the walk will help support the American Heart Association. For details, call 614-1984.

WALK-A-THON: OrthoSports Physical Therapy will host a walk-a-thon to benefit Kids Escaping Drugs. Registration will kick off at 9 a.m. Saturday at the south end of the Clarence bike path, 10405 Main St. Registration fee is $20, which includes a T-shirt for the first 200 registrants and admission to the post-walk party. PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The Lancaster Lions Club's third annual past presidents' pancake breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's High School, 142 Laverack Ave., Lancaster. Proceeds will benefit the needs of the sight- and hearing-impaired of the area. A flu shot clinic will also be provided.
