Eldon E. Mayfield, a licensed tour guide in Niagara Falls for more than 25 years, died Monday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was 74.
Born in Blackwell, Okla., Mr. Mayfield moved to the Niagara Falls area in 1956.
In addition to his work as a tour guide, he revived the Sertoma Small Scale Railroad in Hyde Park during the 1970s. Operations also included a miniature golf course, paddle boats on Gill Creek and a snack stand.
Mr. Mayfield is survived by a son, David; a brother, Ralph R. Atkins; and sister, Edna Lavone Wojtal.
