The billboard for the Holimont ski club says "Play Hooky at Holimont"
and shows a man in a tie skiing in deep powder. The pitch is clever:
The private ski club is open to non-members during the week, so why
not cut out of work and strap on the boards?
Unfortunately, the billboard stands directly across from the Ellicottville schools.
A polite letter from the school board to Holimont asked for a little
awareness of the struggle all schools wage in keeping kids in class and on time.
Ever the good neighbor, Holimont has agreed to change the billboard.
All in all, not a bad publicity grab, don't you think?
