Just received the inactives for today's Bills-Jaguars game and there's good news for the Bills. Rashean Mathis, the Jags' Pro Bowl cornerback, is out with a groin injury. Aaron Glenn will start for Mathis at left corner. The Jaguars were vulnerable against the pass to begin with, so Mathis' absence should l give J.P. Losman an even greater chance to test them downfield. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills tested Glenn deep early -- maybe with Roscoe Parrish, who wants to be more involved in the passing game.
Anthony Thomas was announced as the starting running back in place of Marshawn Lynch. I think Thomas is about finished as a runner. They should give more touches to rookie Dwayne Wright, who is more capable of popping a big play. I know Thomas is very good at picking up blitzes, but the Bills need production from the running back position to hang with Jacksonville.
I'll be moving over to our Bills blog -- Billboard -- for the rest of the day. Allen Wilson and I provide regular blog updates during the game. Check it out.
