>Three separate burglaries being investigated in Falls

NIAGARA FALLS -- Police investigated three house burglaries on Friday, including a Chilton Avenue residence that was the scene of a car break-in a week ago.

Police said two women at the Chilton address told police they heard a noise at about 7:30 p.m. and spotted a man on the roof. The man jumped to the ground and fled when he realized he had been seen, police said.

A Ninth Street home was entered through a window abutting a fire escape and $600 was stolen from a hiding spot inside a closet, police said. The break-in occurred between 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday, police added.

A computer and a CD/DVD player were stolen from a University Court apartment between Wednesday and Friday, while residents were away for the holiday, police said. Someone entered the apartment unit through a window and removed the items, valued at $1,515, from a bedroom.
