The Niagara women's basketball team (2-3) lost its third in a row Saturday afternoon, falling to Marshall, 79-66.
Sarah Wilson scored 19 points and Jennifer McNamee had 18 for the Purple Eagles.
Marshall, which never trailed after the opening minutes, opened a 10-point halftime lead, but Niagara went on an 8-1 run to tie the game at 47-47 with 12:42 left in the second half. Marshall, however, scored the next nine points to pull away again.
The Thundering Herd built the margin to as many as 17 points. Casey Baker scored 18 points for Marshall.
Next for Niagara will be a home game on Thursday night against Akron at 7 p.m.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Bowling Green's Kate Achter scored 32 points as the Falcons stormed back in the second half and defeated St. Bonaventure, 68-61, ending the Bonnies' five-game winning streak.
Dana Mitchell led Bona with 17 points while Erica Schiefen had 11.
The Bonnies were playing the first of 10 straight games away from home until the return to the Reilly Center for a Jan. 12 Atlantic 10 Conference game against Saint Joseph's.
Bowling Green (4-0) routed the Bonnies, 71-46, at the Reilly Center last season.
Achter, a 5-foot-8 senior, opened with the game's first 10 points and scored the Falcons' final eight points in the come-from-behind victory.
