Referendum on projects is delayed for months
A referendum on capital projects that Iroquois Central School District officials hoped to put before voters in February has been postponed until at least next fall.
The Iroquois Capital Project Committee reached that decision last week. A fourth meeting is scheduled for Dec. 6.
The committee, comprising district and community members, decided to wait because of the scope of the project and the time involved to seek more public input.
The district also wants to create a list of priorities, and officials want to determine how much state aid the project could receive.
The Board of Education will make the final decision on what direction the committee should go if additional items are to be included.
