>Man accused of damaging wall in county building
OLEAN -- Christopher R. Maull, 31, of Union Valley Road, was arrested at the Cattaraugus County building by sheriff's deputies after he allegedly kicked a hole in a wall just after 1 p.m. Friday.
Maull was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief in connection with damage to a wall on the second floor. He is to answer to the charge Tuesday in Olean City Court.

NAPOLI -- Elizabeth J. Robinson, 30, of Olean, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny for stealing jewelry and selling it to pawn shops late last month.
She was arrested following an investigation by Cattaraugus County sheriff's detectives and released without bail following arraignment in Napoli Town Court.
Deputies said Robinson stole jewelry Oct. 25 from a house in Napoli and took it to Olean, selling it to jewelers and pawn shops. Detectives said they have recovered all the stolen items.

ELLICOTTVILLE -- A Franklinville woman was listed in fair condition Sunday in Erie County Medical Center with injuries suffered when her car missed a curve on Beaver Meadows Road about 8 a.m. Saturday and rolled over, Town of Ellicottville police said.
Linda Phiansouri, 23, who was pinned inside her car, was rescued by Ellicottville and West Valley volunteer firefighters, officers reported.
>Hunting dispute leads to confrontation with gun
ASHVILLE -- An Ashville hunter was charged with grabbing a property owner's shotgun and pointing it at him during a dispute Sunday over whose property he was hunting on, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reported.
Warren Berry, 74, was charged with menacing and criminal mischief. Deputies said Berry was hunting in the woods behind 2375 N. Maple St. with his two sons, Martin and Garrett, at about 7:15 a.m. The confrontation erupted when a neighboring property owner approached Berry to dispute whose property he was on, police reported.
A physical confrontation ensued, and Berry was wrestled to the ground and detained until police arrived. The shotgun was damaged during the confrontation. Berry requested an ambulance and was taken to WCA Hospital, Jamestown.
