Bills-Patriots Report Card

>Grading the Bills

Running game: C-

Losing Lynch was a serious blow. Hard to judge when they were playing from a hole from the outset. Can't expect much from Thomas.

Passing game: C-

Losman had 47-yard TD pass to Parrish. Otherwise, reminiscent of his other woeful starts against Pats.

Run defense: B-

Run defenses become fairly irrelevant when Brady gets on a roll, which is pretty much every game these days.

Pass defense:F

Oh, well. No one has stopped the Pats this year. What does this say about some of the other offenses in the league?

Special teams: C

People figured these guys would have to make some plays for the Bills to have a chance. It didn't matter.

Coaching: D

Not sure what they could have done to compete with the Pats. But it's a low moment when you lose, 56-10.

>Grading the Patriots

Running game: C

Does it even matter? Maroney scored his first TD of the year, which is probably no solace to fantasy owners.

Passing game: A

Amazing that Brady & Co. could establish such an impossibly high standard -- and then exceed it.

Run Defense: A-

Anything less than a total shutdown against crippled Bills would have been a surprise.

Pass defense: B

No doubt, Belichick will make life miserable for Ellis Hobbs after allowing the TD bomb to Parrish.

Special teams: C

Nice job by Gostkowski on the eight extra points. Nice to see they actually employ a punter.

Coaching: A

Belichick has gone against Bills after a bye four years in a row. Time for Ralph Wilson to whine to league.
