LEWISTON -- Post play has not traditionally been a strong suit for the Niagara women's basketball team. And even when the Purple Eagles did have outstanding forwards, they didn't play a traditional post role.
In the team's home opener at Gallagher Center, forward Sarah Wilson had a career high 20 points and Sara Prybyl added 15 points to pace Niagara in an 87-76. The offense ran through the low post in a style those familiar with watching Canisius women will recognize. (Recall first-year head coach Kendra Faustin was an assistant at Canisius for three years).
Do you think that Niagara can earn a few more wins this season with better post play?
