Store in Riverside held up by two men

An Ontario Street store in the city's Riverside area was robbed Sunday by two men armed with a silver handgun, police reported.

A man was working inside Ontario Express, 245 Ontario, at about 5:35 p.m., when two men entered the store and one pointed a gun at him, Northeast District police said.

"Give me the money," the gunman said, and ordered the man to also hand over "what's under the counter."

The worker complied, handing over cash, and the two robbers left the store in a green vehicle, driving east on Mayer Avenue, police reported.

The case has been assigned to district detectives. No arrests have been made.
