James F. Buckley, a World War II veteran and Williamsville businessman, died Friday in Weinberg Campus, Getzville. He was 82.
Mr. Buckley started Office Automation in 1958. The business helped clients bridge the evolution of technology, transitioning from typewriters to dictating equipment and eventually word processors.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Buckley, who moved to Amherst from Grand Island, enjoyed skiing with his children and grandchildren and playing tennis with friends.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Valone and Valerie Swain, and two sons, Daniel and William.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island.
