St. Katharine Drexel is the name of a new Catholic parish formed from a merger of parishes in Lovejoy. The name was misspelled in story Nov. 1.
A caption with a photo of Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower visiting with paratroopers, which appeared on the book review pages in last Sunday's Spotlight section, had the wrong date for the meeting. Eisenhower met the paratroopers June 5, 1944.
John Modica, D, placed third, with 197 votes, and Richard Gerlach, D, fourth, with 147 votes, in a four-way race for two seats on the Machias Town Board. Republicans Brenda Andrews and Elwood Spittler placed first and second, respectively, in the voting.
Also, David R. Warsocki received 196 votes running on the Republican, Conservative and Independence lines to win one of the two seats on the Hinsdale Town Board. Daniel Zawatski finished third, not second, as was reported in Wednesday's News.
The results were reported incorrectly Wednesday.
