Rock for Darfur, squared

Not one but two multiact bills come to town in an effort to raise money to aid the plight of those under attack and being displaced in Darfur.

Both "Rock for Darfur" events take place on Saturday. The twin Buffalo shows are part of a countrywide chain of concerts promoted as the " Rock for Darfur Campaign." Concert halls, clubs and arenas around the country will feature MySpace bands dedicated to hipping their audiences to the ongoing genocide in the Sudan. All of these shows will happen close to concurrently on Saturday.

Club Infinity, 8166 Main St., Williamsville, hosts its "Rock For Darfur" with the Academy Is..., Armor for Sleep, Cobra Starship and the Rocket Summer, beginning at 6 p.m.

Xtreme Wheels, 356 Hertel Ave., brings Family Force 5, Jonezetta and the Secret Handshake to its stage beginning at 6 p.m. Call the venue at 871-9361 for additional information.
