Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) has finally found a problem he can't solve: The writers' strike in Hollywood.
Fox announced late Wednesday that it is at least temporarily postponing the January start of Bauer's latest terrorism battles to ensure the action will be non-stop once the series begins.
It is unclear if Sutherland's real-life legal problems in a DUI case will affect the series now that there's a strike complication. After a reported plea deal, he was scheduled to start a 48-day jail sentence after "24" stopped production in December for a winter break. It was believed that he could serve his sentence without disrupting the show's production.
Despite the possible loss of "24," Fox is best situated for a long-term strike. Read more about the network's plans in Friday's Buffalo News.
