Yolanda Bindics, the Jamestown mother who was the subject of a lengthy search after she disappeared three years ago, will be laid to rest this weekend with observances in Jamestown and Buffalo, her family says.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 450 Abbott Road, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
Wakes will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Thursday in Huber Funeral Home, 111 S. Main St., Jamestown, and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Friday in Reddington Funeral Home, 657 Abbott Road.
The 25-year-old mother of four was missing for more than two years before her skeletal remains were found in September 2006 by hunters on densely wooded state forest land in the Town of Charlotte.
Her death was ruled a homicide. No arrest has been made in the case.
