LITTLE VALLEY -- A convenience store worker was sentenced to jail Monday for having a fake $50 bill.
Keenan J. Wagner, 21, of Olean, was sentenced by Cattaraugus County Judge Larry M. Himelein to six months in jail and restitution for his guilty plea to first-degree attempted criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Wagner had the fake money while he worked at Crosby's Dairy in Hinsdale.
Marshall D. Jacobs, 21, of Steamburg, was sentenced to five years' probation for his conviction of fourth-degree grand larceny around Dec. 30 when he stole more than $19,000 in cigarettes while employed at the Seneca One Stop in Salamanca.
Denise L. Saradin, 57, of Salamanca, was sentenced to five years' probation and fined $2,000 for her guilty plea to driving while intoxicated March 2006 in Salamanca.
Justin D. Bigler, 28, of Allegany, was sentenced to 18 months in jail and fined $2,000 for his conviction of DWI and second-degree unlawful imprisonment March 30 in the Town of Allegany.
Brian Button, 29, of Great Valley, was sentenced to five years' probation, including 240 hours of community service, and fined $3,000 for DWI Feb. 10 in Great Valley.
Brian Brown, 21, of Olean, was sentenced to five years' probation, including 10 hours of community service, and restitution for his guilty plea to third-degree burglary of a building May 12, 2000, in Randolph.
District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said guilty pleas were entered in several other cases and sentencing will be early next year.
Elizabeth Hackbarth, 44, of Depew, pleaded guilty to DWI and failure to keep right Sept. 7 in the Town of Persia.
Jamie A. Pierce, 32, of Salamanca, pleaded guilty to DWI March 30 in Salamanca.
Charles Haselden, 21, of Chaffee, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Feb. 20 in the Town of Persia.
Robert P. Swan, 21, of Cattaraugus, pleaded guilty to third-degree assault Aug. 30, 2006, when he stabbed his brother with a sword in the Town of New Albion.
Kevin E. Crandall, 23, of Olean, pleaded guilty to DWI Aug. 12 in the Town of Portville when he was driving with a blood alcohol count of 0.21, nearly three times the legal limit.
Mark B. Burdick, 38, of Salamanca, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Dec. 14 in Salamanca.
Michael Myszka, 37, of Cuba, pleaded guilty to third-degree rape in November 2006 in the City of Olean involving a person under age 17.
