Armed Forces Mass
Men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces will be recognized at the annual Navy/Armed Forces Sabbath at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Cathedral, 50 Franklin St.
Active duty, Reserve, National Guard, veterans and retired military are invited to attend and wear their uniforms.
The Buffalo Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will hold its eighth interfaith conference from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Millennium Airport Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga.
The theme will be "Religion Founders Day."
The Rev. Hope Harle-Mould will discuss his experiences from his sabbatical in Sierra Leone and Ghana earlier this year at a 7 p.m. seminar Monday in St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 1475 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca.
Harle-Mould and the church received a $45,000 grant to participate in the National Clergy Renewal program.
Four men will be ordained as transitional deacons by Bishop Edward U. Kmiec at 5 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Christ the King Seminary, 711 Knox Road, Aurora.
Scheduled to become transitional deacons, a step prior to ordination to the Catholic priesthood, are James L. Fugle, James W. Kirkpatrick Jr., David E. Tourville and Robert W. Zilliox Jr.
