A Portville man sentenced in Cattaraugus County Court on Monday faces five years in prison for a sex crime involving a child and must register as a sex offender with the state.
Ronald A. Klarowski, 34, was sentenced by Judge Larry M. Himelein for his conviction of first-degree attempted sexual contact against a child.
District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said the incident took place between June and December 2005 involving a child under 11.
Klarowski must also serve a concurrent one-year jail sentence, Sharkey said, for his conviction of criminal purchase of a weapon.
Francis H. Simons, 57, extradited from Missouri, was sentenced to serve from 2 1/3 to seven years in prison for his conviction of second-degree criminal sexual act Dec. 1 in the Town of Great Valley when he engaged in oral sex with a person under age 15.
Allen L. Herbert, 27, of Olean was sentenced to three years in prison for his conviction of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance -- cocaine -- May 11 in the City of Olean.
Patrick Roush, 36, of Lackawanna was sentenced to four months of weekends in jail, five years' probation and fined $4,000 for his conviction of driving while intoxicated Nov. 8 in the Town of Humphrey, when he was driving with a blood alcohol level of .35 percent, more than four times the legal limit.
John M. Leaf, 35, of Lawtons was sentenced to five years' probation and fined $2,000 for his conviction of DWI Nov. 4 in the Town of Persia, when he was driving with a blood alcohol level of .27 percent.
Daniel S. Seneca, 43, of Salamanca was sentenced to three years' probation, including 200 hours of community service, and fined $1,000 for his conviction of DWI June 18, 2006, in Salamanca.
Jennifer Norgrove, 24, of Olean was sentenced to five years' probation and fined $2,500 for her conviction of DWI and driving without a license May 27, 2006, in the Town of Carrollton.
Sharon M. Jasiczek, 46, of Arcade was sentenced to five years' probation, including 40 hours of community service, and fined $2,500 for her conviction of DWI July 29, 2006, in the Town of Yorkshire, when she was driving with a blood alcohol level of .20 percent.
Sharkey said several people pleaded guilty Monday and will be sentenced in October.
Raymond E. Sage, 27, of Kill Buck pleaded guilty to third-degree unauthorized vehicle use and DWI on Nov. 19 when he stole a vehicle without permission and drove with a .21 blood alcohol level.
Others pleading guilty to DWI were Keith D. Hoitink, 36, of Olean on March 14 in the City of Olean and Brian L. Button, 29, of Great Valley on Feb. 10 in Great Valley.
