Synacor, the Buffalo-based vendor of online services, announced it has signed a deal to provide premium online content to Time Warner Cable Internet subscribers.
Under the deal, subscribers on the Road Runner broadband service in most Time Warner territories will be able to buy access to bundles of premium online content, including music, greeting cards and Encyclopedia Britannica.
The bundled content allows subscribers to get access with a single sign-on and pay through their cable bill at discounted rates, Synacor said.
"Our technology platform enables Road Runner to leverage Synacor's partnerships with various content providers to offer its subscribers great value in addition to its high speed access products," Synacor president Ron Frankel said in a statement.
Terms of the agreement were undisclosed.
Time Warner Cable has 14.7 million customers for video, high-speed Internet and telephone service in 33 states.
