Erdman, Anthony and Associates, an infrastructure engineering and support services provider to private industry and government clients was presented the Project of the Year award in the transportation category for the rehabilitation of Main Street in Buffalo by the New York Chapter of the American Public Works Association. MetaMateria Partners, a unit of Buffalo-based NanoDynamics, has received a $150,000 federal grant to help develop lead-free solder technology for microelectronics, the company announced. The Phase I Small Business Technology Transfer grant took effect July 1. Once complete, the work could lead to a $500,000 grant to explore commercial applications. Based in Columbus, Ohio, MetaMateria Partners develops nano-scale materials and ceramic manufacturing methods.

API Delevan, an East Aurora manufacturer of surface mount and thru-hole inductors, common mode chokes, coils, and transformers, appointed USI Electronics of Fort Lauderdale as a franchised distributor for the company's full line of military products.

The 17th Annual Rosa's Charity Golf Tournament and Dinner Auction at Brookfield Country Club raised $158,000 for the Kids Escaping Drugs Campaign and a new foundation set up by Paul and Elaine Rosa to benefit the children of our community. Also, as a result of the event,the Serta Mattress Co. donated 10 twin mattress and box spring sets to the West Seneca Campus.
