>Two cyclists injured in Genesee crash

LE ROY -- A motorcyclist and his passenger suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday after their machine veered off the road and skidded on its side, Genesee County sheriff's deputies said.

Ronald W. Braaten, 50, of Le Roy, is listed in critical condition in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, with head and internal injuries.

His passenger, Barbara W. Walters, 47, of Le Roy, was taken to Strong Memorial with shoulder and head injuries. Hospital officials listed her in guarded condition.

Deputies said Braaten was riding north on South Street Road, approaching the Le Roy village line, when the vehicle left the roadway at about 2:30 a.m. Braaten and Walters were ejected, and the motorcycle came to rest partially on top of Walters.
