With all the hubbub surrounding the restoration of the Darwin Martin House on Jewett Parkway, we less often hear about the same family's pristinely preserved summer home in Derby. The Graycliff Estate, as it's called, is the sort of place you might expect to find at the English seaside or, at the very least, on Martha's Vineyard. The august collection of buildings was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Martins and set on 8.4 acres. The Graycliff Conservancy, which runs the estate, is offering a series of "Sundays in the Country," a three-phase tour in which patrons can have brunch at East Aurora's Roycroft Inn, be transported by trolley to the estate and take a guided tour of the grounds.
The Sunday tours run weekly through Oct. 28. Tickets are $54 and must be purchased in advance by calling 947-9217 or e-mailing email@example.com.
