Judith F. Robinson, retired clinical manager for the Buffalo Otolaryngology Group, died Monday in Millard Fillmore Hospital. She was 66.
Born Judith Flynn in Rochester, she moved to Buffalo as a child, graduated from Williamsville High School in 1958 and received a nursing degree from the University of Buffalo, which led to a surgical medicine and health care management career of more than 30 years.
A lifelong sailor, Mrs. Robinson sailed keel boats at the Buffalo Canoe Club and competed in regattas, including the 1986 Shark Class World Championships in Switzerland. Her passion for the sport began when she taught sailing as a teenager at a Girl Scout camp on Chautauqua Lake.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Williamsville and served as president in 2005 of Holloway Memorial Chapel, a nondenominational chapel that meets in the summer in Point Abino, Ont.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Robert J.; a son, Christopher Harper; a daughter, Jennifer Harper; three stepsons, Jeffrey Robinson, Gregory Robinson and Kevin Robinson; and a sister, Christine DeLong. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Holloway Memorial Chapel on Point Abino Road.
