Don't you hate it when your sunglasses -- which should sit atop your head when you take them off -- get caught in your hair instead?
La Loop has the solution. The company recently added a SportLoop to its collection of glasses holders. But you won't look like Granny with this cool, stretchy cord that is joined at a ring. Worn like a necklace, the ring hangs in front and -- voila! -- a safe spot for your sunglasses. The cord is a waterproof nylon, so you can wear it while swimming or working out. The SportLoop has a list price of $19.95, but we found it for $14.95. For more information, visit www.laloop.com. To buy, check out www.spoonsisters.com or call (877) 505-1500 for more locations.
DUCT TAPE WINNERS
Adrienne Beiler, 15, of Salisbury, Pa., and Zac Cupler, 18, of Grantsville, Md., each won $3,000 college scholarships after the public voted their duct tape prom outfits the favorite in this year's Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest. "We worked on the dress and tuxedo for about a year and used around 40 rolls of duct tape," said Adrienne. Beiler's flowery Southern belle dress included a hoop skirt with multiple layers of colored duct tape and textured flowers and weighed 25 pounds! She also carried a duct tape parasol and handbag. Cupler wore a brown suit and hot pink shirt and sported a hat and cane. More than 180 couples from 44 states and three Canadian provinces went to prom decked out in duct tape for a chance to win. QUOTE OF THE DAY
"I don't think I'm growing up too fast. That can definitely happen, but I'm still a kid at heart, sometimes. I feel like an adult and my actions are very mature, but I still love to have fun, I still love to crack jokes and play pranks on people and just enjoy myself as a kid."
