Springville Center for the Arts will hold summer kids workshops for Theatre Camp and Art Camp. Also, the center is seeking visual and/or performing artists to teach in the workshop program. Proposals are welcome. For more information, call 592-9038.


The Parkside Community Association will hold the Parkside August Art Camp from Aug. 13 to 31, Mondays through Fridays, for children ages 5 to 11. Classes offered will include art, music, creative writing and dance. The program will be held in St. Mary's School for the Deaf. For more information and registration, call 838-1240.


Calls for Works

The David R. Fendrick Theatre Fund is seeking entries for its annual theater competition. Consideration will be given to individual applicants to support their writing or production of new, existing or experimental works for theater. Crafter applications are available for the Kenan Arts Council Holiday Gift Show, which will be held Nov. 16, 17 and 18 in the Kenan Center, 433 Locust St., Lockport. All works must be handmade and original designs. For more information and an application, call 433-2617.

Impact Artists' Gallery is seeking entries for the October exhibition of "In Memorium: Buffalo's Trees." Paintings, drawings, photography, fibers, sculpture and ceramics dealing with trees and human interaction/reaction are accepted. There is a $15 entry fee.
