New challenge for Rock

Funny I should follow Rodney's excellent post on loyalty at UB with this one. But you just never know what you'll stumble across when you start browsing through YouTube.

Alanzo George is a 6-foot-8 New York City high school star who was planning on attending Manhattan College and thus giving Canisius and Niagara trouble in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. But George was paralyzed in a March car accident and has been hospitalized ever since. Check out this video of him in the hospital and pay close attention to his coach.

"Eric Eisenberg" is better known in these parts as Rock Eisenberg, the man who caused the split in the UB team that resulted in the 1999 firing/resignation of Tim Cohane and then tried to undercut Reggie Witherspoon during his days as UB's interim coach. Eisenberg, who was beloved by some UB players and admittedly was a huge reason North Carolina came to visit the Bulls in 1999 because of his relationship with Tar Heel guard Ed Cota, went back to New York and has been the head coach at Tilden High in Brooklyn.

George, by the way, is still in rehabilitation but attended his high school graduation.
