Wanted man found after crash on Route 20
POMFRET -- A Forestville man is facing drunken-driving charges and traffic violations following a crash early Friday morning.
Christopher Woods, 20, was arrested following an investigation into a personal injury accident that occurred on Route 20.
Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies said Woods was operating a vehicle northbound on Harmon Hill Road around 7 a.m. when he ran a stop sign, crossing over Route 20. Woods drove on to the lawn of 5184 Route 20 and struck the house.
Woods and his passenger, Jennifer Thorton of Portland, were taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
Man accused of having child pornography
NORTH TONAWANDA A North Tonawanda man was arrested Friday by FBI agents and charged with possessing child pornography.
Richard P. Chervinsky, 34, of First Street, also had inappropriate contact with a boy younger than 5, according to FBI Special Agent Paul Moskal.
Authorities in April seized Chervinsky's computer and found more than 100 video files of images involving children as young as 3.
Chervinsky, according to U.S. District Court records, had been downloading child pornography for about eight years. Other charges are pending.
Moskal said the investigation was initiated by the Niagara County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's Investigator Leonard E. Guagliano conducted the investigation.
