>Man injured by gunshot as two others fight
NIAGARA FALLS -- A Weston Avenue man was being evaluated in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Sunday after being shot in the upper right buttock on Saturday, police said.
The man told police he was walking in the 1300 block of Ashland Avenue around 3 p.m. Saturday when he came across two men fighting. He said one man pulled a gun and fired about eight shots, one of which apparently struck him.
He told officers he was unaware of the injury until about 4 a.m. Sunday, when he contacted police and was taken to the hospital. His injury was not believed to be serious.
The man could not provide a detailed description of the two men who were fighting.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Three people were hurt when a car and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of West Creek and Lake roads about 10 a.m. Sunday, Niagara County sheriff's deputies report.
The driver of the northbound car, Pamela Knox, 43, of Barker, was treated for a head injury and released from Newfane Intercommunity Hospital.
The motorcyclist, David McCulloch, 58, of Niagara Falls, who was eastbound, was taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, with back pain.
His wife, Roberta, 59, a passenger on the motorcycle, was admitted to Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, with a head injury.

TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- A Lincoln Place apartment was burglarized Friday afternoon while the man who lived there was outside with his dog, Niagara County sheriff's deputies said.
The man told police he came home around 2:30 p.m. and took his dog out for a few moments, during which time someone entered the apartment and stole his wallet. It contained a $3,250 paycheck, $600 in cash and several credit cards.
Police are checking into the possible involvement of a man who was in the building helping a relative move belongings.

WHEATFIELD -- A trio of cars was broken into in separate incidents Saturday morning, Niagara County sheriff's deputies said.
A Marigold Drive woman reported that her cell phone and wallet were taken from her unlocked car while it was parked in her driveway overnight.
In addition to various personal effects, several of the woman's credit cards also were taken. Loss was set at $154.
Two cars parked in the driveway of a Nash Road home were broken into at the same time, deputies said. A $15 pair of sunglasses was removed from one vehicle.
Both had been rifled through, but nothing else was reported missing.
