JAMESTOWN -- A Jamestown man faces a felony criminal mischief charge after being arrested early Saturday morning after he smashed the window of a Fairmount Avenue bar following a dispute, police said.

Jamestown police said Nicholas Rose, 25, was trying to start fights with some patrons of the Sky Bar at around 2 a.m. After he was thrown out by bar security, he is accused of hurling a glass through the business' large plate glass window. Some patrons were nearly struck by flying shards of glass, investigators said, but there were no injuries.
