Ferraro declines top post on Power Coalition
LOCKPORT -- Samuel M. Ferraro, Niagara County economic development commissioner, said he is too busy to serve as president of the Niagara Power Coalition.
Ferraro, who also serves as executive director of the county Industrial Development Agency, said he has so many other responsibilities he can't add the coalition's duties to the list.
The coalition, which recently adopted bylaws that bar elected officials and board members from serving as officers, has been trying to recruit a president, a vice president and a treasurer.
Don W. Rappold, acting superintendent of the Lewiston-Porter School District, is in charge of the search committee and said earlier this week he was trying to persuade Ferraro to take the president's post.
