Nick Mortellaro, Steve Kubante and Mike Dizak will be inducted into the Buffalo Weightlifting Hall of Fame at 7 p.m. Saturday at Hopper's Rush Inn, 2104 Seneca St.
Established in 2000, the Buffalo Weightlifting Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have had success in the areas of weightlifting, powerlifting, and body building as well as coaches and gym owners who have made significant contributions to the sport. BASKETBALL: The Buffalo Storm AAU Basketball Club will begin having tryouts this Sunday and on Feb. 4 for boys and girls. Tryouts for 12-and-under through 15-under girls are at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Girls 16-and-under are at 4 p.m. Sunday, both at Immaculata High School on South Park Avenue in Hamburg.
