Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center, a diagnostic and treatment center for children and adults with speech-language and hearing problems, appointed Amy Bamrick director of Clinic Services and Lynn Scheuer director of Literacy and Specialized Programs. Bamrick has been with the center full time since 2001. Scheuer also joined the center in 2001. Both are University at Buffalo graduates.

The Reid Group, a Lockport motor fuel marketer that provides products and services for retail motor fuel outlets and convenience stores, recently promoted Paul A. Quebral to president, Karen M. Korthals to chief financial officer and Douglas J. Galli to vice president of the Retail Division. Quebral, who joined the company in 1990, has served as vice president and chief operating officer since 2001. Korthals joined the company in 2001 as director of administration after working for 15 years in public accounting and corporate tax accounting. Galli was most recently Reid Stores division director, overseeing the company's K & K Food Marts and Crosby Marts. He joined the company in 2004 as convenience store marketing manager, following 29 years with Tops Markets.

Pollard Windows regional factory representative Scott Schlager recently earned the certified graduate associate designation, through the National Association of Home Builders University of Housing, identifying him as one of the building industry's top professionals.

The Joan A. Male Family Support Center appointed Andrew J. Mattle executive director. Previously, Mattle was at AIDS Community Services for 15 years. The Joan A. Male Family Support Center offers intervention and services for families dealing with issues of child abuse and neglect.

Lawler and Witkowski managing partner Lawrence M. Lawler, a CPA, certified tax resolution specialist and national director for the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, recently appeared on Retirement Living TV, a Columbia, Md.-based television station. The segment was titled "Tax Woes."
