NEW HOURS have been posted at the Cattaraugus County Historical Museum and Research Library in the Old Stone House at 9824 Route 16 in the Town of Machias.
Evelyn Penman, curator, said the museum and library will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 1 to 4 p.m. the first and third Saturday of the month, including this Saturday, Feb. 3 and 17 and March 3 and 17.
She said genealogy and local history research will be available during the open hours. She said the museum is featuring a toy and dollhouse exhibit, including dollhouses of Sally Pettengill and Cheryl Lee. For information, call 353-8200.
A LECTURE on the history of Western New York railroads will be given by Joseph Kocsis of the WNY Railway Society at 8 p.m. Feb. 7 in St. Peter's Episcopal Church Hall, 205 Longmeadow Road, Eggertsville.
The lecture is sponsored by the Greater Buffalo Bottle Collectors Association. Peter Jablonski, president, said the general meeting will begin at 7 and will be open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For information, call 440-7985.
MILITARY NOTE: Pvt. Andrew J. Sulski, a 2005 graduate of Kenmore East High School, has been assigned to duty in Germany following his completion last month of 13 weeks of basic combat training at Fort Benning in Georgia.
He is the son of Beth Harris of the City of Tonawanda and Tom and Betty Sulski of North Tonawanda and the grandson of Harry and Pat Sulski of Snyder.
