>Hospital opens center on sleep disorders
OLEAN -- Olean General Hospital has opened a Sleep Disorder Center on the third floor at the Hampton Inn, for a total of six hospital-sponsored rooms devoted to patient sleep studies and state-of-the-art monitoring and program support.
While many hospitals across the nation partner with hotels due to their "sleep-friendly" environments, the hospital's Sleep Disorder Center is the first of its kind in New York State, according to an announcement by Timothy Finan, the hospital's president and CEO.
Studies show that monitoring sleep patterns can diagnose serious breathing-related problems that contribute to sleeping disorders.
The Olean General Hospital Sleep Disorder Center performs overnight or daytime studies for adults and children.
For more information about sleep studies, talk to your primary care physician, contact Olean General Hospital Sleep Center at 373-9300 or visit www.ogh.org.
