BASEBALL: The Genesee County Baseball Club and the Batavia Muckdogs will hold their third Hot Stove Dinner on Feb. 2 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Batavia Party House. Muckdogs clubhouse manager Tony Pecora will be the guest speaker. Tickets are on sale at Dwyer Stadium in Batavia.

BOATING: The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will hold its eight-hour American Boating Course on April 21 at the Mayville VFW Post and May 12 at the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club on Mullett Street in Dunkirk. The course meets all federal and state requirements for operation of personal water craft, jet skis, and for boaters under 18. To register, call B.N. BROOMBALL: Leisure Rinks is recruiting teams for a spring broomball session that starts Feb. 17. Contact Peggy at

FLOOR HOCKEY: Preregistration is required for a coed league starting for three ages groups in early February at the Gloria J. Parks Community Center. Equipment is provided. For information, call 832-1010.

ICE SKATING: A learn to skate program for figure skaters and hockey players will be held at the Hockey Outlet in Wheatfield, beginning the weekend of Jan. 22. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 5 p.m.

ROLLER DERBY: The Queen City Roller Girls will hold a "Debutante Brawl," a fundraiser and a free skate with the team, Saturday from 9 p.m. to midnight at Rainbow Skating Rink in North Tonawanda. The evening will have an '80s prom theme and will cost $7, which includes skate rental.

SNOWSHOEING: A 5-K race, an Empire State Games qualifier, starts at 10 a.m. Sunday at Chestnut Ridge Park. There will be awards for the top male and female finishers and for the top finishers in each age group. A 400-meter fun run for kids will follow the race. For information, e-mail Mike Rogers at
