SPCA waiving fee for adopting older cats
WARSAW -- The Wyoming County SPCA is waiving the adoption fee for cats older than one year through March 31.
SPCA officials said the agency has taken in a large number of cats and kittens while operating on a shoestring budget because of dwindling donations. To cut costs, the agency is seeking donations of dry cat food, kitten food, scoop litter, clay litter and dry dog food. In addition, it also needs bleach, 33-gallon garbage bags, laundry soap and antibacterial dish soap.
The agency also is seeking corporate sponsors for its "Joey and Maria's Comedy Wedding," scheduled for Oct. 13 in the Alexander Fireman's Recreation Hall on Route 98 in Alexander.
Those who are interested in becoming corporate sponsors may call the Wyoming County SPCA at (585) 591-3114.
