1. Step up and experience life in another time as Old Fort Niagara unveils "Saturday Adventures" running from 9 a.m. to noon with Jolicoeur's Journey. For $10, each child age 8 to 12 can learn winter survival skills, 18th-century style. Note: One accompanying adult will be admitted free!
The adventure continues at 9 a.m. Jan. 20 with "Stars, Stripes & Shakos," with children ages 7 to 10 learning to make a flag and a soldier's hat. Ten dollar admission.

2. One day only! Monday is free admission day at the Buffalo Museum of Science. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., wander these hallowed walls, home to mummies and dinosaurs and Snow, the exhibit. The museum is located at 1020 Humboldt Pkwy.
3. This weekend marks the second Saturday of the month, and you know what that means?
Free tours of three downtown churches beginning at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Cathedral, 128 Pearl St. Renowned art, awesome architecture! Then travel to St. Louis at Main and Edward streets before ending in First Presbyterian at Symphony Circle.
