>Judge sets deadline for wiretap information
A judge has given the U.S. Justice Department until March 13 to tell him whether any secret National Security Agency eavesdropping was used in the investigation of Lackawanna businessman Mohammed T. Albanna.
U.S. District Judge William T. Skretny previously ordered the government to provide answers by Monday, but he granted an extension after a prosecutor, Timothy C. Lynch, requested more time to comply with the request.
Albanna and two relatives face a July trial date on charges they ran an illegal money-transmitting business that sent more than $3.5 million from Western New York to Yemen. They have not been accused of any link with terrorism.
