Hazel L. Lindner, a longtime South Buffalo resident, died Feb. 19 in her home in Mills River, N.C., after a brief illness. She was 93.
Born Hazel Spring in Buffalo, she was a graduate of South Park High School. She moved to North Carolina in 1999 to live with her family.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Golden Agers of Salem Lutheran Church and the Super Sixties at Grace Lutheran Church.
An avid reader since childhood, she enjoyed baking and making crafts, family members said. She also had friendships that lasted 80 years and was devoted to her Yorkshire terriers, Codie and Sadie.
Her husband of 58 years, Harold A., died in 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Widrzynski of Mills River, and a granddaughter.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery, Orchard Park.
