David P. Mier, public relations counselor

David P. Mier of Buffalo, a retired public relations counselor, died unexpectedly Tuesday while returning from a trip to Cincinnati. He was 59.

Born in Buffalo, he was a graduate of Cheektowaga Central High School and attended the University at Buffalo.

A longtime professional public relations counselor, he worked for many firms, including Levy, King and White. Later, he became vice president of Inlighten, Inc., a local private television network company. He retired following an auto accident in late 2004.

An avid golfer and traveler, he was especially fond of visiting Italy.

Surviving are his longtime companion, Rosemarie Weinstein of Buffalo; his mother, Cele of Vista, Calif.; and a brother, George of San Marcos, Calif.

There will be no services.
