TRI-ETHNIC -- The ninth annual St. Patrick-St. Joseph-Dyngus Day party will be held this year March 26 in the Buffalo Irish Center, 240 Abbott Road, and will feature ethnic music, food, dance and tradition from the Polish, Irish and Italian heritage all centered around the confluence of the national observances of St. Patrick's Day, St. Joseph's Day and Dyngus Day.

Festivities will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Ticket prices are $5 in advance or $8 at the door. Sponsors are the Buffalo Irish Center, Polka Boosters of Western New York and the Federation of Italian American Societies of Western New York. CHOWDER and roast beef will be served at the annual theme tray auction from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St., City of Tonawanda. Drawing will begin promptly at 2.


EDWARD W. MILLER of Sanborn sent a reminder that an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in Tonawanda Masonic Lodge 247, 190 Minerva St., City of Tonawanda. It is open to the public.


WORLD WAR II vets are invited to a meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in Brompton Heights Assisted Living Center, 275 Brompton Road, Amherst, to hear about a tour package to Washington, D.C., to visit the World War II Memorial.

The tour will leave Buffalo Niagara International Airport the morning of April 26 and return the same night. Korean War, Vietnam and Iwo Jima memorials also will be visited. For information about the meeting and tour costs, call Dana Deveso at 634-5734.


MILITARY NOTE -- Pfc. David M. Bischoff, son of Howard and Lynne Bischoff of Cheektowaga, recently graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 2002 graduate of West Seneca East Senior High School.
