A Mass of Christian Burial for William A. Schultz, a retired
autoworker, will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 71 Adam St., City of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
Mr. Schultz died Sunday in Highland Regional Medical Center, Sebring, Fla., after a long illness. He was 76.
The North Tonawanda native lived in the City of Tonawanda for 44 years and was a relief man at General Motors' Powertrain Plant in the Town of Tonawanda for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He moved to Florida six years ago.
He had played saxophone in the band of Stephen Sikora Post 1322, American Legion, and performed with the Highland County Concert Band in Sebring. He was a member of Local 774, United Auto Workers.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, the former Alice M. Hennigar; two daughters, Janice Bencic of Batavia and Joyce Sheldon of Sarasota, Fla.; a son, William of Ashland, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Graves of Fort Erie, Ont., and Betty Richau of the City of Tonawanda; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
