Terry Lee Long, a retired laborer, died Sunday in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a brief illness. He was 72.
Born in Sagamore, Pa., he graduated from Shannock Valley Senior High School.
He moved to Buffalo in 1953.
From 1953 until retiring in 1984, Mr. Long worked as a plumber and pipefitter at Bethlehem Steel Corp.
He was a member of Metropolitan United Methodist Church and its trustee board.
He enjoyed bowling and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, the former Georgia Johnson; a daughter, Lakrishna of Buffalo; four sons, Terry Jr. of Buffalo, Kevin of Charlotte, N.C., Dwight of Powder Springs, Ga., and Gregory of Buffalo; a brother, Kenneth of Akron, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 657 Best St. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, West Seneca.
