A service for Michael Kevin Banks Jr., a homicide victim, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 657 Best St., after a wake at 10. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
The 19-year-old Buffalo native was slain Dec. 10 in Niagara Falls. His body was found in Cattaraugus County.
He graduated from BUILD Academy and attended Emerson and Burgard vocational high schools. He received Job Corps training in hotel management.
Mr. Banks had played Little League football and basketball and was a member of the Metropolitan United Methodist Church Youth Group.
Survivors, all of Buffalo, include his father, Michael K. Sr; his mother, Trina Harp; four sisters, Tiffany Harp, Rosie Harp, Jemica Harp and Kayla Harp; a brother, Deshawn Gray; two stepbrothers, Christopher Collins and Richard Southworth; and his grandparents, Phyllis Banks and Rebecca and Raymond Harp.
