Camille Nardello-McCowen, bartender Aug. 15, 1952 -- Feb. 19, 2006

LEWISTON -- Camille Nardello-McCowen, of Lewiston, died Sunday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. She was 53.

Born Camille Nardello in Buffalo, she attended school in Niagara Falls, graduating from Madonna High School in 1970.

She was a bartender in the Niagara Falls area and worked at several establishments, where she would entertain patrons with "Moose," her puppet. Most recently, she was a caregiver for her parents.

Survivors include a daughter, Shanie McCowen of Boca Raton, Fla.; her father, Daniel J. Nardello of Lewiston; her former husband, Ozzie McCowen of Niagara Falls; and her companion, Jimmy Ellis of Niagara Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Leo Catholic Church, 2748 Military Road, Town of Niagara. Prayers will be said at 11 in Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Town of Niagara.
