Steamburg man gets prison time

A Steamburg man charged with driving while intoxicated and without a license on June 7 was sentenced Tuesday in Cattaraugus County Court to 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 years in prison.

Judge Larry M. Himelein also fined Paul R. Newell, 30, of Center Street, $2,500. He was arrested in the Town of Coldspring.

In other cases:

Billy M. Coleman, 24, of Olean was sentenced as a second felony offender to serve two to four years in prison after being convicted of third-degree attempted burglary. The crime occurred Nov. 9, 2004, in Portville.
Patrick A. Jimerson, 36, of Salamanca, currently in the county jail, was sentenced to one to three years in prison and fined $3,500 after being convicted of driving while intoxicated and without a license July 30 in the Village of Gowanda.
Roger T. Steiner, 46, of Franklinville was sentenced to one to three years in a prison for his conviction of driving while intoxicated May 25, 2004, in the Village of Franklinville.
Teresa Keech, 28, of Portville was arraigned and pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery. The crime occurred Oct. 31 in the City of Olean. District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said Keech was sentenced to serve a four-year prison term concurrent with another sentence. She is currently incarcerated in Bedford Hills Correctional Facility.
Cameron A. Wormer, 22, of Portville was sentenced to five months in the county jail, five years probation and fined $2,500 for her conviction on driving while intoxicated and leaving an accident scene Aug. 20 in the City of Olean.
Blanchard D. Jimerson, 30, of Salamanca was sentenced to five years probation, 400 hours of community service and fined $3,000 on his conviction of driving while intoxicated and without a license Sept.1 in the City of Salamanca.
Kimberly M. Washburn, 34, of Little Valley was sentenced to five years probation, 200 hours of community service. She was convicted of second-degree attempted forgery of a check. The crime occurred March 30.
In other cases, Sharkey said several defendants pleaded guilty and will be sentenced May 4.
Richard E. Williams, 29, of Hinsdale pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny Sept. 20 in the City of Olean. The crime was linked to the forged check of a Cuba woman.
Cameron M. Zwierzchowski, 23, of Gowanda pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and without a license Nov. 12 in Persia.
Michael D. Strohauer, 43, of Gowanda pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated Nov. 12 in Persia.
Joseph C. Harter Jr., 29, of Franklinville pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and without a license Nov. 9 in the Town of Ellicottville.
Lisa L. Jordon, 38, of Olean pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and without a license Oct. 14 in the City of Olean.
